Check this out! California School for the Deaf (CSDR) is hosting a competition called Movie Night on May 8 and May 10, 2008. This is the 4th annual competition in the west. Students made short films for a few months doing preproduction, production, and post production and submitted their hard work for Movie Night. 5 schools are involved this year and they are: - California School for the Deaf Fremont (CSDF)
- California School for the Deaf Riverside (CSDR)
- Marlton High School (From Los Angeles)
- Texas School for the Deaf (TSD)
- University High School
Tickets are selling out fast. Browse at CSDR's website at http://csdr-cde.ca.gov/ to find out more information. 5 judges will be viewing the short films along with an audience full of staff, students, families, friends, and the Deaf/hearing communities. Awards will be given out for best Screenplay, best picture, best actor, best supporting actor, and more! Yep, I will be there as one of the judges on May 10, 2008. Hope you can join us! Deanne Bray
